Care guide

Caring for your stone worktop

Keep the right care information for your exact quartz, natural stone or sintered worktop and know what to ask at handover.

Keep the exact product details

Record the stone or manufacturer, product name, finish, installation date and our contact details. Keep the current care instructions with those details so you do not have to guess which advice applies later.

Three questions at handover

  • Which routine cleaning products are approved for this surface?
  • What protection is required around heat, food preparation and appliances?
  • Who should I contact about marks, damage, sealing or repairs?

Match advice to the surface

Caesarstone advises using heat protection for its quartz surfaces. The Natural Stone Institute distinguishes stone composition when discussing cleaning; acid sensitivity is particularly relevant to calcium-carbonate-based stone. Cosentino has its own Dekton maintenance instructions. One product's instructions should not be transferred to another by assumption.

Check before trying a treatment

For a persistent mark or damaged edge, photograph the issue and ask us what it is before attempting a treatment. Avoid experimenting with a household remedy copied from an unrelated surface.

When selecting your worktop, ask to see care guidance before you order. Return to the material comparison if a product's routine does not suit the way you want to use the kitchen.
